Gothic War Morningstar - Designed and Handcrafted in Detroit, Michigan by Archangel Steel
We hand tool all of the details in our very ornated Gothic War Morningstars.
The core of the head is high carbon, case hardened 1045 steel and the spikes are 1075 steel.
The handle is leather wrapped steel tubing. (Contact us with requests for leather colors that aren't on the listing menu or to ask about twisted wire incorporated into your handle wrap.)
We can apply a patina or a black oxide finish on these. Please contact us if you have a specific finish request that you see in our photos or on our social media posts.
We can also make hand tooled steel collars for the top and bottom of the handle, as shown on the morningstar in the 2nd photo. Those are a $1,000 addon.
Overall Length: 39.0" (includes tip to pommel piece)
Handle Length: 31.0"
Head Size: Approx. 8" with a 3" core and spikes adding 2.75" all around.
Weight: Just under 12 lbs. (Weight increases if customer chooses to add the hand tooled collars option.
These vary slightly when we make them, but are between 11 and 12 Lbs.
The spikes are 2 and 3/4 inches. The core is 3".
